If you want your child to have a top-notch smile this spring, then our dentist, Dr. David Trebisovsky, is happy to help you help your child. There are many things you can do to keep your child’s teeth and gums in tip-top shape while they enjoy the warm weather and play outside. Some of those things are:

  • Bring them into our office: During their appointment, our dental team will deeply clean their teeth and gums to help them prevent dental issues this spring. Our dentist will also examine the smile for any problems. If there are problems detected, he will provide the proper treatment to restore your child’s oral health.
  • Help them clean and care for their smile: This means you need to brush and floss your child’s teeth and gums regularly. However, if they are infants, flossing isn’t necessary until the teeth are tightly knit together. Make sure to use a child-sized, soft-bristled toothbrush and swallow-safe, fluoride-free toothpaste as you brush.
  • Encourage the use of a mouthguard: If your child participates in high-contact sports and activities, then it’s important that they wear a mouthguard while doing so. A mouthguard can help them prevent oral injury when they get hit in the face.
