Tooth-Colored Fillings
Tooth-Colored Fillings in Brooklyn Park, MN
When a tooth has experienced minor to moderate decay or damage, Dr. Dave may recommend a tooth-colored filling to repair the tooth’s structure and health. In addition to being used to repair tooth decay (cavities), this type of filling can also be used to restore a tooth that is chipped, cracked, or broken.

How Does it Work?
To repair the tooth, our dentists first remove the decayed or damaged portion of the tooth structure. We then clean the tooth and fill it with composite resin. Composite resin is a tooth-colored material that we can match to your original tooth color for an aesthetic appearance. The resin is layered onto the tooth to match its shape and to fit your bite comfortably. Finally, the filling is hardened and polished. In just one visit to Sandpiper Dental, we can place your dental filling and restore your smile’s health.
What are Tooth-Colored Fillings?
Tooth-colored fillings, also called composite or white fillings, are an excellent choice for repairing a tooth because these restorations blend in beautifully with your smile’s natural appearance. The resin also helps to strengthen the natural tooth structure for a lasting, strong restoration.
